The Provincial Employees Social Security Ordinance was promulgated in 1965 to introduce a scheme of Social Security for providing benefits to certain employees and their dependants in the event of sickness, maternity, employment injury or death. The benefits admissible under the scheme are as under:

  • Medical Care
  • Cash Benefits

The extent of Medical Care for the secured persons and their dependants consists of:

  1. Treatment of common diseases.
  2. Specialist, care in hospital for in-door and out-door patients.
  3. Provision of life saving drugs.
  4. Dental care in employment injury.
  5. The dependants of the deceased workers are also entitled to and Hospitalization and specialist treatment.
  6. T.B patient are entitled for short term and long term treatment.
