Measures Adopted to Achieve the Objectives

Department of Fisheries NWFP has focused mainly on the following developmental activities

• Development of farm fisheries in private sector
• Introduction exotic varieties of fast growing fishes.
• Extension Services to the Private fish farmers.
• Training activities for farmers and staff of the department.
• Research on fisheries and aquaculture.
• Encourage tourism in the province through development of sport fisheries
