The Reclamation & Probation Department has a long history of pride and prominence as it has been through out serving the desperate humanity for the cause of National peace and prosperity. It has undoubtedly played a vital role in maintaining law and order situation being one of the alarming challenge to the State and Society of the day. But unfortunately the personnel who are shouldering the sacred task of reclaiming desperate have them selves made to be desperate because of injustice.
The Basic ideology behind the implementation of Probation 1 Parole enactments is to fold:-
The main objective behind this mission is:-
- To Kill the crime and not the criminal through re-socialization of offenders out side the walls' of Jails.
- To bring down overcrowding in jails for the cause of saving huge capitol to the state being lavishly incurred on prisoners with no return.
The Reclamation & Probation Department saves the prisoners to be tainted with hardened criminals in Jails from further demoralization The Parole 1 Probation systems are both economical and productive in the sense, that besides re-socialization of offenders, this Department is also saving millions of rupees to the Govt exchequer every year.
It will not be out of place to mention that total annual Budget of the Rclamatio & Probation Department for the year 2008-09 §IRs. 87,18";'0001- and saving to Govt is Rs. 99,86,4001- Which definitely reflects its entity to be the unique Department running on no cost basis
