Pakistan is democratic state, and democracy requires all over wellbeing of the inhabitants of a country. Current democratic government has the aspiration to take the country to the apex of development and prove it practically that Pakistan is a welfare state. As present scenario of the country demands a transparent, efficient and swift administration on the part of public sector, which provides concrete foundation for policy making and decision making that in turn result in better use of national resources, increase output of staff and increase dedication, further the increase transparency and accountability will enhance democratic process in the country as public safety is one of the top priorities of the current government. To achieve the goals of “welfare” government of Pakistan has launched several projects under the umbrella of e-government to make best possible use of the country’s recourses. The e-government will improve the quality of services on the part of public sector institutions and will reduce the administration cost. Further, accurate records of the government sector project will help in evaluating the projects and will help in the future decision making.
