The NWFP Wildlife Department has established a Wildlife museum at Head Office Peshawar to promote research, conservation education and awareness among students, conservationists and general public. The museum is housed with 100 specimens representing a cross section of wildlife of NWFP. The specimens has been placed according their pro of natural habitat. A pictorial identification book to the specimens of museum has been prepared which provides information to visitors about habitat, biology description and distribution in the province. All the specimens are labeled with scientific and common names. Besides, awareness materials i.e posters pamphlets, brochures, stickers etc about different wildlife species are also placed in the museum for visitors. A electronic visual display facility has also been provided in the museum for visitors in obtaining details information.
