government architects which have been selected via NWFP
Public Service Commission. The training of the staff
and availability of modern technology tools to them,
have been given top priority thus enabling them to accomplish
their tasks more precise. This office is responsible
for designing the architecture of government buildings
of all nature, throughout the province for different
government client departments:

• Consultation during execution
Rules of Business
On raising a need construction of a building for a government
department, the client departments to contact the Works
& Services Department’s Architect office,
under PCATP ordinance IX of 1983 required documents
for client’s department:
• Detail special requirements, client department
• Digitized site plan, complete in all aspects
from the concerned Deputy Director
• Arrangement of site visit by the concerned department
Procedure Afterwards
The architect office prepares a proposed plan and hands
it over to the competent authority. It is then presented
to the client department, after approval of the plan
the architect office further evaluates and enhances
the plan and drafts it back to the authorities for preparation
of structural drawings, BOQs/Tender documents and execution
of the project.

This office is responsible for designing the architectural

Islamic architecture has a typicality of its own which
makes it distinct from the others and which one cannot
find in other architectural sets. The architects of
the department are equipped with Islamic as well as
modern concepts which they depict in their architectural
designs.
