Khan has said that present provincial Govt: was well aware of the
difficulties being faced by the people due to the Power shortage and
that was why two new hydro-power projects in Mataltan Swat and Lavi,
Chitral have been inaugurated recently while 22 similar projects in
the province were in pipeline.
This he said while talking to a 22 member
delegation of Muslim Abad
Thana, district Malakand which called on him at Dargai on Wednesday,
to apprise him about the problems of low-voltage and over –loaded
Transformers. On this occasion PPP tehsil chairman Mr. Saddique
informed the provincial Minister about the overall out-of-order and
over loaded transformers of the area. The Minister directed the Xen
construction (wapda) Malakand Bashir Khan to prepare a complete list
of the out of order and over loaded transformers of PK-99 so that
approval in this connection be obtained from PESCO Chief and the
problems solved once from all. The delegation thanked the Minister for
giving them a patient hearing and initiating prompt action for early
redressal of their problems.
