THE Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations Mian
Iftikhar Hussain has said that the present government was committed to provide
all basic amenities of life like potable water, gas, electricity and
communication etc and for the purpose, all available resources were being
utilized.
This he stated while talking to a delegation of PK-22 Charsadda led by
the Senior Vice President of ANP Charsadda Maqsood Khan at Peshawar on
Wednesday. GM Suigas Haroon Khan was also present on this occasion. Members of
the delegation apprised the minister of their problems particularly provision
of gas to PK-22.
Mian Iftikhar maintained that they were the elected representatives of
the people and come to the helm of affairs with their votes. Therefore,
the interest of the people always remained their priority, he added. He said
that the ANP Head Asfandyar Wali Khan has taken a serious notice of the
problems of PK-22 and the today meeting was convened on his directives.
The Information Minister ordered the authorities of suigas to carry out
early survey of villages deprived of suigas and to ensure provision of gas in
it. He also ordered to overcome the low pressure problem of gas in the area.
The General Manager Suigas, on the order of the minister, directed the
concerned quarters of suigas to complete the survey alongiwth estimate and
drawing within 4 days, while illegal connections should also be disconnected
immediately to overcome the problem of low pressure of gas in the area.
